During this training, we will focus on the essentials of rental housing counseling to help you develop the skills you need to create your own rental counseling program or deepen your knowledge to streamline your current program. We will cover the rental process from beginning to end, starting with how to help your clients find an apartment and build good landlord-tenant relations and finishing out with how to address issues and end a lease.

Our curriculum includes an extensive collection of resources and more than a dozen templates for housing counselors to use as they aid their clients.

We will also discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected renters and would-be renters, as well as how to stay up to date on new rental housing developments during the public health crisis.

To earn a certificate of completion, you must attend all six sessions.
