This new 3-day course is designed for housing counselors, providing them with essential tools to support individuals and families affected by emergencies. The course emphasizes a client-first approach to recovery while teaching counselors how to help clients transition from immediate survival needs to developing a comprehensive recovery plan that includes safety, housing stability, resource connections, and long-term support. The training also covers crisis communication, disaster response, and counselor self-care to help professionals stay effective, balanced, and emotionally healthy.
