Each year, Housing Action Illinois brings together hundreds of housing practitioners and advocates from across the state for our annual Housing Matters Conference. We're excited to see familiar and new faces as we toast to three and a half decades of progress and renew our commitment to build a better future for all Illinois communities.

Lodging: Unfortunately, rooms at the DoubleTree by Hilton during the nights of the conference are no longer available. Our overflow hotel for conference participants is the Eastland Suites, located at 1801 Eastland Drive, just 2.3 miles from the DoubleTree. To reserve rooms at the discounted rate of $125 + tax, call 309-662-0000 and let the staff know you’re participating in the Housing Action Illinois conference, or make your reservation online using the code 4812.
Public Health Guidelines: Participants must attest during registration to being vaccinated per current CDC guidelines or take a negative test within 48 hours of the start of the conference. Housing Action Illinois is committed to providing a safe and healthy environment for all conference attendees. We will monitor the public health situation and make adjustments to our guidelines as necessary. View full guidelines »
Participant Cancellation Policy: All conference cancellations will incur a $25 cancellation fee. Cancellation requests must be sent to communications@housingactionil.org and received on or prior to Friday, September 30, 2022. After this, refunds will be granted only in extenuating circumstances, such as a positive COVID-19 test.
Conference Cancellation or Postponement Policy: If we cancel or postpone the conference due to COVID-19, participants will be given the opportunity to transfer their registration to the rescheduled in-person or virtual conference, or to transfer registration to our 2023 conference.
Media Release: Housing Action Illinois will taking photographs/video during the conference. Photographs/video may be used for future marketing, publicity, promotions, and training activities for Housing Action. By registering for this conference, you agree to allow Housing Action Illinois to use the photographs/video—which may include you—in all media formats. If you have concerns regarding being photographed or recorded, please notify staff at the registration table by 10:00 am on Thursday, October 20, 2022.
Requests for Accommodations: Please submit all requests for reasonable accommodations when registering for the conference. We will do our best to meet all requests regardless of when they are submitted, but to ensure that your request can be met, we ask that you let us know by Friday, August 26, 2022.
